1. Let the Cool Night Air In
One of the best tricks? Use nature to your advantage. Open your windows in the evening once the sun sets and let that cooler air inside. Then, close them in the morning to keep the cool air trapped throughout the day.
💡 Pro tip: Open windows or doors on opposite sides of your home to create cross-breezes. It helps fresh air move through the house — especially when you leave interior doors open too.
2. Use Fans to Move Air, Not Just Cool It
Fans don’t lower the temperature — but they help your home feel cooler by moving air around. Set up portable fans in warm spots to keep air circulating, and ceiling fans on a counterclockwise setting during summer to push air down.
